Michael Jackson’s production company is opposing two accusers’ attempts to obtain police photos that may contain images of his private parts. However, the accusers argue they have the right to access this material.
Attorney John Carpenter, representing Wade Robson and James Safechuck, claims that the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara police provided Michael Jackson’s legal team with evidence of his alleged sexual abuse of children, which the singer’s companies have possessed for decades. Carpenter believes they should have access to the same information.
In response, attorneys Thomas Mesereau and Jennifer Keller, representing Michael Jackson’s corporations, deny Carpenter’s claims, stating there is no credible evidence supporting the accusations against Jackson. They argue that Jackson was acquitted and exonerated in his 2005 trial and accuse the accusers of attempting to sway public opinion.
The dispute arises as MJ’s production company seeks to block Wade and James from accessing his criminal file, including photos from a 1993 child molestation investigation, which they believe invade the late singer’s privacy even after his death.
