The 61-year-old Portuguese tactician spent two-and-a-half years at the helm of Roma, from July 2021 to January 2024, before being dismissed following a defeat to Milan.

During his tenure, Mourinho achieved notable successes, including winning the Conference League title in his inaugural season and leading the team to the Europa League final in his second.

However, his third year saw a decline in fortunes, culminating in his exit.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Mourinho is set to take the reins at Fenerbahce, a club that narrowly missed out on the Super Lig title by just three points last season, with only one defeat in 38 league games.

Sporting director Mario Branco led the negotiations, securing the services of a seasoned coach who had made it clear he had no intention of retiring from the beautiful game.
