A former executive at Yoozoo Games has been sentenced to death for poisoning the founder, Lin Qi over business disputes
Lin Qi, only 39 years old at the time, tragically passed away about ten days after being poisoned. The court revealed that Xu Yao had tainted food consumed by Lin Qi due to their business disagreements.
Additionally, Xu Yao’s poisoning scheme affected four other individuals, although they survived. The poisoning incidents, which occurred between September and December 2020, was caused by disagreement between two of the affected parties.
Yoozoo Games, recognized for its association with popular franchises like “Game of Thrones” and “The Three-Body Problem,” suffered a significant loss with Lin Qi’s death.
The company holds film rights to the latter trilogy and had granted Netflix permission to adapt in September 2020.
This sentencing marks a tragic chapter in the history of Yoozoo Games, highlighting the serious consequences of internal conflicts within corporate environments.
