Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has made a triumphant return to the entertainment industry after a long hiatus, starring in a feature-length film titled ‘Red Circle’
In a recent interview with Nigerian Tribune, Wright shared the reasons behind her temporary departure from the spotlight and her decision to return to the big screen.
Wright revealed that she had to quit the film business to devote more time to raising her children, who needed her attention and care.
During her time away from the film industry, Wright pursued a new passion, becoming a certified cyber security analyst in the US.
She expressed her satisfaction with her decision, stating, “I just felt like doing something else for myself. I decided to go back to school and put my hands into something else. I’m happy I did. Now, I can boast that I’m a cyber security analyst.”
Wright’s children played a significant role in her return to the entertainment industry. She mentioned that they encouraged her to go back to acting, saying, “My sons kept encouraging me, they said, ‘It’s time you go back again and do something in the movie industry in Nigeria.’” The warm welcome from her fans and the industry as a whole also motivated her return.
Wright expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work on ‘Red Circle’, stating, “It feels really good, and I’m so happy about the warm welcome from everybody. I’m happy to be back. Did I miss the industry? Yes, I did.” Her return to the entertainment industry is a testament to her dedication to her craft and her passion for storytelling.
